Humberto (Bert) Moreno is an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) with the Strategic Concepts Group within NFA Wealth Management Group, a Registered Investment Advisor. He joined NFA in 2013 as he moved his family back to his home state of Texas from the Washington, D.C., area. The mission of his investment practice is to provide investment advisory services (portfolio management) directly to individual investors who need experienced investment management to protect, grow, and manage their retirement assets.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, Bert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing in 1990 before beginning his career in financial services in Houston, Texas. He began his career as a statistician and later advanced to Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing while earning the CFA designation from the AIMR Institute in 2000. This designation laid the foundation for the portfolio management career he began with NFA in 2013 as an Investment Advisor Representative.
His consultative, fee-based practice develops financial plans for wealth management clients, business owners, and employer-sponsored retirement plans. His portfolio management process is based on active, institutionally oriented portfolio rebalancing and asset allocation. He uses stocks, bonds, ETFs, and mutual funds in portfolio construction where appropriate, giving him the flexibility to create customized portfolios based on each client’s investment profile.
Humberto (Bert) believes that helping others achieve their vision of financial success is a mission he and NFA share and put into practice every day. To him, “people are the product,” and joining the NFA family has been a true blessing because its shared principles align seamlessly with both his professional and personal values.
Outside of work, Bert enjoys coaching lacrosse, baseball, and golf for youth and adult athletes in the Cedar Park, Texas, area. One of his most cherished titles is “Coach.” Teaching people how to perform and execute is a rewarding undertaking that he plans to continue well into the future.
Humberto is married to Yolanda and resides in Cedar Park, Texas. They are proud parents of two children. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance allows him to stay close to home and enjoy watching his children grow into outstanding young adults.

Humberto is a Certified Golf Instructor and owner of Transmission Golf. He continues to teach golfers how to play the game he still competes at the national level. He also volunteers as a coach for youth lacrosse for the Cedar Park Cannons and is a member of said Board as Treasurer. Additionally, he also volunteers as a baseball coach for a 14U recreation team in Cedar Park.
